After graduating from The Ohio State University, she became a CPA while working as a computer fraud auditor for the Dupont Company.  She worked for UMASS on all three campuses, and Brown University before moving north to the Androscoggin Valley in Northern New Hampshire. In addition to supporting her husband and raising a family of four children, Kathleen has been elected to the School Board, has run a fundraising and grant writing business, and has served on several nonprofit boards.  She is currently the Treasurer of the North Country Education Services Board, the Treasurer of the Randolph Mountain Club Board, and the Secretary of the Association of Fundraising Professionals - Northern New England Chapter.  She is also an active member of the Androscoggin Food Coop and Coos County Democratic Committee.  Over the past few months she has donated over 200 face masks made from her late mother's quilting fabrics.

Typically the County Register of Deeds promotes accurate and timely recording of land records.  Citizens rely on the Register to keep property records secure, protected from fraud and theft.  Easy and timely access to real estate records is critically important for Coos County economic growth.  Utility companies also rely on these records to safely provide repairs and replacements of lines.  The cost of operating the Registry of Deeds is usually covered by fees associated with filing transactions, issuing liens and attachments, and securing copies of past transactions.

Please choose Kathleen Kelley Register of Deeds.  She will explore technology  offered by Larado and E-recording which could improvethe efficiency and effectiveness of the office.
